claude code
picks land in your claude code prompt as chips. backspace removes one.
on this page
set up#
terminal
$ el install --claude
this installs the element plugin for claude code: prompt chips that send your picks with your message. start (or restart) claude code afterwards. the claude desktop app's code tab loads the same plugin, so it gets the same chips.
chips#
each pick lands in your prompt as [element #7]. type what you want around it, like make [element #7] match [element #8], and send.
- backspace removes a chip whole.
- only chips left in the message are sent, with the full details and a screenshot as hidden context.
- the session shows up in the browser as soon as claude code starts, so tabs can be assigned to it.
what claude can run#
each pick sent with your message tells claude which el commands to run, and el help lists the rest:
el getto read picks again,el open <url>to open a page in a tab it owns,el read <id>to read everything an element says, form values included, when its text was cut,el snapshot <id> --textto read an element's html and css when there's no source file,el shareto make a link, when you're signed in.
remove#
el uninstall removes the native host and element's agent setup.
